The most hair-raising eyebrow fails, from microblading disasters to overplucking nightmares

OVERPLUCKING your eyebrows into strange thin lines is a beauty rite of passage that (almost) all of us went through as teenagers.

But while we had to wait YEARS for our beloved brows to grow back to their former caterpillar-like glory, we're not so sure the owners of these extreme beauty fails will recover so quickly.

Earlier this month, mum-of-three Jami Ledbetter revealed how a botched microblading procedure left her with FOUR eyebrows.

The 42-year-old from Kansas was delighted when her daughters bought her a Groupon voucher to get her eyebrows semi-permanently tattooed as she had been born without brows.

But after the procedure went horrifically wrong, Jami was left too embarrassed to leave the house and the man she was dating broke up with her.

However, Jami isn't the only one who has been left with botched brows after microblading went awry.

When the cosmetic procedure first rose to prominence in 2017, one patient learnt the hard way of how microblading can blister the skin if not performed properly.

Warning others to do their research before going under the knife, this anonymous woman suffered a horrendous infection after the nicks in the skin left by the needle allowed bacteria to get through.

Meanwhile, another microblading victim was left with enormous blonde brows after the technician went to town with the semi-permanent ink.

Fortunately, not all eyebrow disasters have such long-lasting effects.

Because while overplucking your brows may seem like the end of the world to your teenage self, they (thankfully) really do grow back.

But just in case we needed some reminding why we should never try and change the shape of our own brows again, this selection of hair-raising fails is all the convincing we need.
